A familiar sight to Gunnison locals, the west elk mountains are a hidden gem in Colorado. A wilderness area that is right in our backyard holds a special place in my heart. When headed back towards Ohio Pass, Ohio peak and the surrounding peaks of the ridge are familiar faces.
