These two sibling paintings were a great joy to make! One of the most unique and beautiful experiences of growing up in Alaska was seeing the northern lights regularly every winter, the amazement of natural phenomenon is something I took for granted until I moved to Colorado. I now look back with fond memories, amazement, and wonder of the northern lights that felt much more “normal” as a kid. I dream of one day having a cabin in the woods like these ones where I can peer out and see the lights dancing in the sky.
