This small oil painting on canvas stretched on a wooden block is the perfect statement piece encompassing the glory of fall elk hunting. The leaves rich in color like heavenly honey draping over the landscape and covering the hills. Since moving to Colorado I have a new appreciation for fall as the aspen groves turn an unmatched color of orange, yellow, and sometimes even red.
After spending this last fall commiting more time to elk hunting this mini series has a special place in my heart and with it all the memories I made.
