Currant creek was my first fire ever doing a night shift on, the experience of fighting fire at night was different than the experience I had had thus far, everyone was excited, the air was charged with excitement to get to work. This is a painting of the fire as we pulled up before we began our night shift, the fire illuminating the smoke.
